Weber, Aden

Aden passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord, at Derbecker’s Heritage House LTC, St. Jacobs, at the age of 100 years. Beloved husband of Martha (Burkhart) Weber (2020). Cherished father of Don (Marg), Mary Martin, Stewart, Joyce (Ernst) Gaessler, Maynard (Lorraine), David (Marilyn), and Linda (David) Gee. Loved by 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. His grandchildren have many fond memories of the time spent at Grandma and Grandpa’s, especially the times and adventures down at the river. You could always depend on him to give a helping hand. Survived by brother-in-law Clare Martin. Predeceased by parents Aaron and Hannah Weber; siblings Levi (Elsie), Nelson (Lovina Weber and Anna Shantz), Lena Wideman, Edgar (Norma); son-in-law Neil Martin, and daughter-in-law Deb Weber. Aden was a skilled road grader operator working for Blacktop Paving, Simon-Wood, and Warren Paving building roads all over the county. Aden and Martha supported Truckstop Evangelism and Associated Ministry (T.E.A.M) and volunteered at Guelph, Milton and Burtch Correctional Centres for 15 years as a Director of Prison Ministry Outreach. He shared the freeing power of Jesus Christ with hundreds of inmates through chapel services, bible studies and visits. He was a longtime faithful member of Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly, serving in many areas including the Board of Deacons, and in prayer ministry. He was a man of deep faith in the God who provides and meets our needs. Aden had a joyful spirit and his favourite verse was “the joy of the Lord is your strength”, Nehemiah 8:10. Dad started his life south of Conestogo and finished his years residing in St. Jacobs at Derbecker’s Heritage House LTC, always living along the Conestogo River. He kept the staff on their toes and laughing at his antics. Thank you for your excellent care, we are truly grateful. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Interment will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery, 2035 Three Bridges Road, St. Jacobs. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Evangelical Missionary Church, 2 First St. W., Elmira, with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. The service will be livestreamed and will be available on Aden’s tribute page of the funeral home website. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Seeds International, would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
