It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing at home of Darlene Elizabeth Brodhaecker on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in her 57th year. She was the beloved daughter and best friend of Jean and the late Orville (1993), loving sister to Margaret and her husband, Steve Vogel, and her twin brother Daryl and his wife Janet Brodhaecker. She was the cherished Aunt to Nathan and Janelle Vogel, Lorie Vogel, Kristy Vogel, Rachel and Patrick Wright and Matthew and Cassandra Brodhaecker. Fun-loving Great-Aunt to Colton, Kaylee and Austin.
She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends. Darlene will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She was a loyal member of the Drayton United Church and the Mapleton Agricultural Society. She was also a dedicated part-time employee of Elmira Foodland for over 30 years. Her friendly smile will be missed by all. She loved working on various knitting, crocheting and needle work projects and always had a project or two on the go.
The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Drayton United Church on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery.
