To the Editor,

Towns in the Region of Waterloo and all across Ontario each have their own unique and local footprint and sense of community. Forcing high density development on these towns through Ford policies lacks an understanding and desire to respect the fabric and vision of every homeowner who chose to buy and live in these communities.

Altering lifestyles and home environments using big-city development mentality is unconscionable and shows a decided lack of respect. Development should be driven by townships and their elected representatives who understand the value of maintaining small-town identities and priorities.

Stop trying to remove administrative powers from townships – give the people back their voice and their vote.
