Suddenly called home as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Deeply loved by their children Christopher (Esmeralda), Melodee Lynn (David) Ezquerra all of Zaragoza, Spain, Vincent (Andrea) of Drayton, and Elena Kerns Frey of Dubuque, Iowa. Cherished grandparents of Kenan (Rebecca), Elizabeth; Irati; Ian, Eric, Leah; Enoch, Elijah, Kaylen and Aralyn. They will be missed by their siblings Esther Frey, Dorcas (Arthur) Taylor, Marlene Toye, Gloria (Larry) Snyder, Beverley (Gary) White, Wendy Clemmer, Paul (Anne) Trewin, Anne (Murray) Wellman, brother-in-law Edmund Martin, many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by Les’ parents Ezra and Ada (Brubacher) Frey, and stepmother Frances, Sharon’s parents Vincent and Helen (Grant) Goetz, siblings Amos Frey (in infancy), Joyce Martin, Jim Goetz, and brother-in-law Bruce Toye.
Les and Sharon’s unwavering faith and unconditional love of God and people have left a permanent mark on the lives of all who knew them. Their selfless devotion, kindness and generosity impacted countless individuals, demonstrated by their more than 40 year missionary ministry in Spain. They will be profoundly missed by their family, friends, Spanish, Wallenstein Bible Chapel and Woodside families, and everyone touched by their kindness and love. Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Wallenstein Bible Chapel, 4522 Herrgott Rd., Wallenstein. Family interment will take place in Hawkesville Cemetery on Friday, November 15, 2024 with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Wallenstein Bible Chapel. All are welcome to stay for a time of refreshments and fellowship after the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Missionary Service Canada would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
