Forklift fire quickly doused
Elmira firefighters responded to a fire at South Field Drive, between Arthur and Union streets, on Tuesday evening. They were notified at around 6 p.m. of a potential shed fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a forklift on fire and swiftly put it out. While smoke filled the entire building, it sustained little damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. [Ali Wilson / The Observer]
