Recently ten Intermediate boys from St. Boniface School participated in the Intermediate Boys’ Volleyball tournament which was held at Resurrection Secondary School in Waterloo. They competed against St. Timothy, Monsignor Haller, St. Agatha, and St. Mark schools.

The team did an amazing job and the boys played extremely well! They just got better and better as the day went on, and enjoyed lots of long rallies. Their first set of games was played against St. Timothy, where they won the first 2 games in the set of 3. They then went on to play against Monsignor Haller in a nail-biting round. They won the first game, Haller won the second game, and St. Boniface came out victorious in the 3rd game. These put them up against St. Agatha with our team winning the first two games.

That put them up against St. Mark. After another exciting round of volleyball and wining both games they clinched first place. All of the games were exciting and very close. It was an excellent afternoon of volleyball. Congratulations to their coach, grade 7 and 8 teacher Henry Bink and all ten boys – Erik Bitschy, Chase Schnurr, Jake McDonald, Jacob Goj, Max Mazzetti, Alex Zettel, Mitchell Hartman, Owen Brown, Matthew Untario, and Alejandro Lazo-Arevalo. The boys did an excellent job of representing our school, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and great team spirit! St. Boniface is proud of you!
