The Bloomingdale Women’s Institute held its annual meeting and potluck supper on Monday, April 11th at the Bloomingdale United Church.
Sharon Agla was elected president for the year. Gladys Rellinger is past-president. Other officers are: Secretary – Betty Anne Scott, Assistant Secretary – Irene Weber, Treasurer – Judy Reist and District Director – Gladys Rellinger.
The R.O.S.E. Committee will consist of Sharon Agla, Grace Alton, Brenda Hallman. ROSE stands for Rural Ontario Sharing Education – this committee will plan the meetings for the rest of 2016 and the spring of 2017. A new format for future meetings was discussed.

Phone committee is Diane Strickler and sunshine committee is Carol Cressman, Diane Strickler and Lorrie Snider.
Tweedsmuir Coordinator is Lorrie Snider. The financial examiner is Kathleen Snyder. Social committee for the year will be Brenda Hallman and Judy Reist.
Donations were made as follows: ACWW (Associated Country Women of the World) of $50. and to the FWIO Headquarters Fund in the amount of $50.
The 16th Annual Meeting of Waterloo District will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at the Bloomingdale Mennonite Church. Bloomingdale WI will host this event and the theme for the evening is “Put Your Best Foot Forward”. Registration begins at 4:30 pm with dinner following at 6:00 pm. Annual Reports are submitted from the committee chairs and Brenda Hallman will speak on “Where my Shoes have taken me!”
The next meeting for Bloomingdale will be on May 9th at Bloomingdale United Church beginning at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will feature spring flower arrangements with the roll call being “What do you like about gardening?” Visitors are welcome!
