Evacuation drill

On Thursday, December 8th Henry Bink and several of his grade 7 and 8 students in the morning were invited to Twin Oaks Nursing Home next door to the school.

It was a practice for the nursing staff at the Nursing Home to learn how to do an evacuation if there was a catastrophe and they would have to move residents in a hurry – whether they were confined to a bed, in a wheel chair or using a walker. This is where the students came in. They were asked to pretend they were the residents.

Many of the residents wondering why the students were in their wheel chair or using their walker.
