The gym at St. Boniface School on Monday, Oct. 31st at 1:20 was a beehive of activity with student getting ready to walk the runway for their Halloween Fashion Show.
In the afternoon secretary Karen Duffield called all the classes down to the gym for the ever-popular fashion show. Upon entering the students were greeted with music that are Halloween favourites. Emcees for this event were school council members Maria Kanellis and Mitchel Hartman.
This event is sponsored by the student council. It is always a big hit with parents as well as with the students themselves. Emcees were Mitchell Hartman and Maria Kanellis. Costumes ranged from princess, pirates, super heroes, clowns, ghosts, cat in the hat, a table, jelly beans, cowgirls, a horse, bat, bee, a dice, policeman, firemen, werewolf, Minnie Mouse, Karate Kid, Kentucky Fried Chicken tub & French Fry container, devil, a miner, skunk, banana and a frog. The staff also always dressed up and this year there was a fireman, crayon box with several of the staff dressed as crayons and also one teacher was a pad of paper. It is always great to see the older students dress up and they seem to enjoy the dressing up as much as the younger students.
There were prizes for the funniest, scariest and most original in the kindergarten, primary, junior and intermediate classes.
Although some costumes were purchased many of the students preferred to do their own thing and came up with some very interesting outfits.
Only a very few students decided not to dress up and most of the staff also donned costumes which made for a very festive afternoon.
