Silver for St. Boniface Volleyball Squad

Silver for St. Boniface Volleyball Squad

On Friday, November 27th, twelve grade 7 and 8 boys participated in the Intermediate Boys’ Volleyball tournament held at St. David Catholic Secondary School in Waterloo. They competed against three other schools, St. Clements, St. Teresa (E), and St. Teresa (K).  The team did an amazing job and the boys played extremely well!  The boys got better and better as the day went on.  Their first set was played against St. Clements and they won one out of the three games in that set, but won two out of their three games against St. Teresa (K), and all three games in the set against St. Teresa (E).

That put the team in the championship game against St. Clements. Unfortunately, the boys did not come out victorious in that set, and ended up taking home the Second Place position.  All of the games were exciting and very close. It was an excellent afternoon of volleyball.

Congratulations to all twelve boys – Patrick Haley, Lucas Huber, Simon Huber, Skye Jones, Gabe Rebelo, Matthew Thaler, Seth Doerr, Erik Bitschy, Chase Schnurr, Jake McDonald, Jacob Goy, and Max Mazzetti. The boys did an excellent job of representing our school, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and great team spirit!  St. Boniface is proud of you!
