St. Boniface students learn to act quick

On Wednesday afternoon, November 11th Mrs. Leisha Huber and several of her grade 5 and 6 class were invited to Twin Oaks Nursing Home next door to the school.

The nursing staff at the Nursing Home had to react like they would if there was a catastrophe and they would have to move residents in a hurry – whether they were  confined to a bed, in a wheel chair or using a walker. This is where the students came in.  They were asked to pretend they were residents.

Justin Feher and Isabelle Stewart demonstrate their quick moves in the event of an emergency.
