No cash for lazy workers

December 19, 2008 By:

We’re hearing all kinds of stories about the recession, especially auto industry horror stories, but Stephen Harper’s got it right when he says it ain’t time to panic. I sure as heck don’t want governments throwin’ money around like it don’t come from my pocket.

Sure, the car companies are in trouble, but that’s mostly the unions’ doing. I don’t want my money going to keep lazy workers from having to do real work … or get a real job.

When it comes to cars, I’m all for buyin’ local – folks who buy foreign is only helping to undermine the economy of this great country. But I don’t hold with this whole “buy the car your neighbour built” nonsense spouted by the unions. Buy North American because it’s the right thing to do, supporting proper companies that are part of what makes this place so great. There ain’t no sense in buying anything made in uncivilized parts of the world, where they don’t believe in a decent way of life nor democracy.

Blocking the imports would do a whole lot more good than lifting cash from my wallet for unionists.
