Gotta hope we ain’t wastin’ billions
Anyone who thinks this coalition nonsense is a good idea should be mighty happy now that the morons are running the asylum, forcing the government to fork out $4 billion for the auto industry. You can also thank the lefties for the deficits that are coming, forcing your children, grandchildren and those yet-to-be-born suckers to be paying off the dumbass idea for years to come.
Still, it seems the unionists are taking the hint, realizing they’ll have to take a pay cut if they want the bailout money. That’s a condition of the $17.4 billion the Yanks are giving – the government figures they’ll need to see drops of $15 to $25 an hour for lazy auto workers to be in par with what the foreign brands giver their overpaid workers. If you can drop $25 an hour, you know you were paid far too much to begin with.
Like government employees, the underworked and overpaid need a wake-up call. There may be some good comin’ out of this recession if we see some cuts to the lazy sectors – those people need to know what it’s like to do something productive, and to actually work for a paycheque.
Still, if you’re gettin’ out to buy a car, the patriotic thing to do is to go out and buy a domestic product.
