Another case of what politicians do best

When it comes to the graft and lookin’ out for number-one, it’s hard to beat politicians in the GTA. They really know how to shaft the taxpayers, from that socialist Miller to the entitlements of Linda Jackson in Vaughan.

In office for just two years so far, the mayor there has managed to run up all kinds of bills living the highlife on somebody else’s nickel. Seems she’s got a taste for fancy lunches and dinners, often treating her assistants – I guess she’s too good for Tim Hortons or, heaven forbid, working in the office paid for by the residents of the town.

Records show how she burned through $345.50 plus a $70 tip for a meal for four, including a $100 bottle of wine. Another time, it was $372 for another gathering of four, and $173 for she and an assistant to eat out.

These weren’t no isolated incidents – seems she racked up $14,000 in expense claims last year, most of it without much in the way of receipts.
This is just the kind of thing politicians will do if they aren’t held in check. They’re natural crooks and leeches, stealin’ money from hardworking folks who are lucky to have bread on the table – they’re not out droppin’ hundreds on a single meal.

I seen how councillors there are callin’ for this nightmare of a woman to resign, but she says she’s stayin’ on. Time for the police to step in, make her pay back all the money and then cart her off to jail.
