A vehicle parked on Peregrine Crescent in Elmira has its front grill damaged when someone threw an apple at the car. The incident may have occurred the previous Saturday, the complainant reported. Police have no suspects.
August 24 | 4:00 PM | Stolen scrap rims
A vehicle parked at an address on Arthur Street, near Riverside Drive in Elmira, had the tires and rims stolen from it. The vehicle was set to be scrapped prior to the theft.
August 23 | 8:19 PM | Gym grafitti
St. Teresa school in Elmira was hit by vandals, who used red and orange paint to write obscenities on the gym wall. There are no suspects.
August 23 | 6:20 PM | 5-finger discount
Two 12-year-old boys were caught stealing at an Arthur Street, Elmira business. They had previously been banned from the store for similar offences. The owner recovered the merchandise. When police arrived, they found the two with a group of other youths, four of whom admitted to stealing. All were dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
August 23 | 2:30 AM | Caught by dog
Following numerous reports of vandalism at a College Street, Elmira residence, police apprehended a suspect in relation to the latest incident. Using the canine unit, officers tracked and arrested a 26-year-old Elmira man, charging him with ‘mischief.’ The investigation continues into the previous five incidents.

A 28-year-old man was charged with ‘careless driving’ following a three-vehicle chain-reaction collision on Arthur Street near Scotch Line Road south of Elmira.
August 22 | 7:20 AM | Dirty cars
Some time overnight, a vehicle parked at a Floradale Road address had dirt thrown on it and in the interior. Something was also burned inside the vehicle. Police have no suspects.
August 21 | 11:50 PM | Helmets & accesories
Three 16-year-old boys were stopped for not wearing helmets while bicycling on First Street in Elmira. One of the three was found in possession of a drug scale with residue on it. One was subsequently charged with the helmet offence.
August 21 | 11:00 PM | Egged porch
A home on Oakcliffe Street in Elmira was egged. At least four eggs hit the front porch. Police have suspects in mind.
